Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with demand planning or forecasting.
  • Experience with network infrastructure or networking technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in data centers, network infrastructure, including optical transport, dark and leased fiber, cross-connects, etc.
  • Experience in vendor management in the telecommunications/network industry.
  • Experience with data analytics, reporting, and scripting using SQL or similar technologies.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will be part of the team that is responsible for the management and optimization of Google’s network demand and forecasting, as well as conducting advanced data analysis to uncover actionable insights into network demand trends. Your insights will play a crucial role in improving the forecasting and planning processes, driving business decisions, and delivering high-quality metrics to support organizational goals. You will be working with all of Google’s product areas to understand their network requirements and partnering with networking product, forecasting and planning teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the processes involved in generating network demand, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis to understand demand trends, evaluate the impact of new methodologies, and provide actionable insights.
  • Metric Development: Develop and maintain key metrics to enhance forecasting and plan processes, contribute to more informed business decisions.
  • Utilize data to support and improve network forecasting and planning activities, ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders at all levels, fostering collaboration and drive decision-making.
